Wedding photographer

Yehuda Yosifon photographs weddings across Israel in stills only, with 15 years of experience and hundreds of events behind him.

A wedding is not a list of moments to capture, it is a whole day with a rhythm of its own. Getting ready, the reception, the chuppah, the meal and the dancing arrive one after another with no chance to stop and ask for one more take. The photographer's job is to know the order in advance, to be standing in the right place before the moment happens, and to do it without becoming part of the event.

Before every wedding we go through the plan for the day: when getting ready begins, where the couple's outdoor portraits will be taken, and which relatives must appear in the group photographs. With all of that settled in advance, nobody spends the wedding evening on logistics.

What the coverage includes

Full day coverage
From getting ready in the morning, through the reception, the chuppah and the meal, to the dancing at the end of the night.
Outdoor portraits on location
Locations chosen in advance for the couple and for the light of the hour, never a rushed session in the hall's car park.
Night portraits of the couple
Once the pressure of the evening is over we step outside for a final twenty minutes in the light of the city. Some of the strongest photographs of the day come from there.

Questions about weddings

How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer?

In season, three to six months ahead is sensible. Popular dates go earlier than that, so it is worth checking availability as soon as your date is set.

Do you travel to weddings anywhere in Israel?

Yes. Coverage is available across the country, including Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Beit Shemesh, Modiin Illit, Elad, Ashdod and the north.

Do you also film video?

No. This is a stills only practice, and that is a professional choice: every bit of attention during the event goes into the photographs themselves.

Planning weddings?

A short conversation is enough to check availability on your date and send a written quote.
