Questions and answers
These are the questions that come up in almost every conversation with a family planning an event. If something is not here, just ask.
How far in advance should we book a photographer?
In season, three to six months ahead is sensible, and earlier still for weddings on popular dates. If your date is close it is worth asking anyway, because dates sometimes open up.
Can a female photographer be arranged for a separate seating event?
Yes. For separate seating events and women only events, a female photographer can be arranged in advance to cover the women's side alongside my own coverage. It is settled in the conversation before the event and included in the quote.
Do you travel anywhere in Israel?
Yes, coverage is available across the country, including Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Beit Shemesh, Modiin Illit, Elad, Beitar Illit, Ashdod, Netivot, Rechasim and the north.
Do you offer video as well?
No. This is a stills only practice. It is a professional choice rather than a gap: when all of the attention at an event goes into the photographs, the photographs are better.
How much does an event photographer cost?
The price depends on the kind of event, the hours of coverage, the area, and whether an additional photographer is needed. After a short conversation about what you actually need, a written quote is sent.
How long until we receive the photographs?
A first selection is sent within the first days after the event, so there is something to share with the family. The full edited gallery follows, depending on the scale of the event and the season.
How are the photographs delivered?
Photographs are delivered in an online gallery for viewing, selecting and downloading the files at full quality. The link can be shared with relatives.
What happens if a memory card fails?
Photography is done on cameras writing to two memory cards at once, and after the event the files are backed up to more than one copy before editing begins. A single card failure does not lose the event.
Can we choose the location for the outdoor portraits?
Yes, and it is recommended. I come with suggestions suited to the couple, the season and the hour of the light, including lesser known places, and we choose together before the day.
Will our photographs be published on the website or on social media?
Only with your explicit permission. Staying private is the default, and that is especially true for family celebrations.
Do you photograph on any day of the week?
Every day except Shabbat and festivals. Events on Motzaei Shabbat are photographed after Shabbat ends.
What do we need to do to hold a date?
A short conversation to understand the character of the event, after which a written quote is sent. The date is held once the quote is approved and a deposit is paid, and from that moment it is blocked in the diary.
