Couple sessions on location
Couple sessions take place at a location chosen in advance for the couple, not in a hall and not in a studio.

What decides the result is the choice of place and hour. A field at the end of the day, a wood, an old stone street or a line of water all behave differently, and each suits a different couple. The time is set by the light rather than by what is convenient in the diary.
There is no list of poses in the session itself. It starts with conversation and with walking, and the photographs come out of that. Couples who are not used to being photographed reach their best frames about fifteen minutes after they stop thinking about the camera.
What the coverage includes
- Choosing the location
- Several locations suggested to suit the couple and the season, including places that are not known as photography spots.
- The hour of the light
- The session is set for the hour when the light works in favour of the photographs, usually towards the end of the day.
- No forced posing
- Light direction only, so the photographs look like the couple rather than like a catalogue.

Yes. Sessions take place across the country, and a distant location is agreed in advance.
What happens if the weather does not cooperate?
The session moves to an alternative date. There is no point burning a session on bad light.
Planning couple sessions?
